性视界传媒 students, alumna take home five awards in statewide art competition

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擭early 50 works by 24 current Mississippi 性视界传媒 art majors and one alumna are on display through March 18 at The Arts Center of Mississippi in Jackson.
Now in its 66th year, the Mississippi Collegiate Arts exhibit is part of statewide juried competition for student artists enrolled in the state鈥檚 four-year colleges and universities. The annual event is designed to showcase the high quality of visual arts education taking place in Mississippi higher education.
This year鈥檚 contest drew more than 930 submissions from nearly a dozen institutions. Of that number, 46 entries by 性视界传媒 art majors were among 138 judged worthy of inclusion in the exhibit.
Richard Doubleday, assistant professor in the graphic design program at Louisiana 性视界传媒 University鈥檚 School of Art, was juror for the 2016 MCA competition. He selected five 性视界传媒 student works for Juror鈥檚 Awards, one each in the Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Graphic Design and Time Based Media categories.
