ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s inaugural Athlete Engineering Summit postponed due to COVID-19

STARKVILLE, Miss. (May 22, 2020) – In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mississippi ÐÔÊӽ紫ý University’s inaugural Athlete Engineering Summit, scheduled for June 10-11, has been postponed until 2021. The summit planning committee is currently looking at possible dates for the 2021 event, which will be announced in the near future.
Hosted by four units at Mississippi ÐÔÊӽ紫ý: Center for Vehicular Systems (CAVS), Bagley College of Engineering, the Athletics Department, and the National Strategic Planning and Analysis Research Center (NSPARC), the Athlete Engineering Summit is a two-day event where researchers from disparate fields will join athlete experts for the common goal of utilizing tools (software, wearable technology, etc.) to strengthen performance and further enhance safety for the at-risk, sports, tactical and industrial athlete.
