ÐÔÊӽ紫ý employees urged to register for COVID-19 vaccine in the next 24 hours to retain priority

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi ÐÔÊӽ紫ý employees are urged to register for COVID-19 vaccinations within the next 24 hours for the remainder of the limited supply of Pfizer vaccines that the university is authorized to administer.

ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s initial supply of vaccines will first be offered to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý employees as previously announced. ÐÔÊӽ紫ý employees of any age are now eligible to schedule an appointment at  with their ÐÔÊӽ紫ý NetID and NetPassword. Online registration is required.

But the university will offer vaccines not claimed by employees from the first allotment to other eligible recipients.

The university hopes to receive additional vaccine doses in the coming days and weeks, at which time coordinators plan to include students in the campus vaccine distribution. All employees and students are encouraged to schedule an appointment for vaccination at available sites including:

The university is following Mississippi ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Department of Health guidance and will be changing the location of its COVID-19 Vaccination Site. This will allow the university to better serve employees and students and continue operations during strong winds and heavy rain. 

On Tuesday, March 23, vaccinations will be given inside the Longest Student Health Center. You may park in the lot next to the Health Center and use the main entrance. Staff will be available to guide you through the process. 

Beginning Wednesday, March 24, vaccinations will be given in the Humphrey Coliseum, located at 55 Coliseum Blvd. You may park in the lot in front of the Palmeiro Center, located on the west side of the coliseum. Signs and staff can help direct you to the entrance of the Mize Pavilion lobby. For more information and a map of the site, visit:

ÐÔÊӽ紫ý employees who work or reside outside of Starkville may sign up for a vaccine on the Starkville campus or find a provider in their local area. Additional options may become available as more vaccines are provided.

Those receiving the vaccine will need to access the website again to schedule their second dose, which should be administered three to six weeks after the first. If available time slots for the second dose are not listed, please continue to check the site for additional appointments.
