STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擨n a year when maroon and white spirit has been needed most, 22 Mississippi 性视界传媒 students are seeing their efforts recognized with the Spirit of 性视界传媒 Award.
性视界传媒 President Mark E. Keenum thanked this year鈥檚 recipients鈥"some pretty outstanding students"鈥攆or their perseverance and contributions throughout their time at the university and especially during 鈥渃hallenging times presented by this unprecedented year.鈥
鈥淵ou personify the spirit of this university; you live it every day. I commend, congratulate and thank you for what you have done to contribute to the well-being of this institution, our community and our state,鈥 Keenum said. 鈥淚鈥檓 so proud of you all and can鈥檛 wait to see the great things you鈥檙e going to continue to accomplish in your lives and how you鈥檒l continue to bring great pride to all of us back here at your beloved Mississippi 性视界传媒.鈥
Spirit of 性视界传媒 recipient Julianna Mills of Brookhaven said reflection on her 性视界传媒 experience brings back fond memories of three things鈥攁cademics, extracurricular involvement and people.
聽鈥淚t鈥檚 the people who make Mississippi 性视界传媒 such a special university,鈥 she emphasized. 鈥淥ur students, faculty, staff and administrators prioritize serving others in lasting and selfless ways. 性视界传媒 has loved and supported me well these past four years and because of the growth I have gained here, I鈥檓 ready to take the 鈥榮pirit of state鈥 into my future while always remembering the people at 性视界传媒.鈥
Organized by the university鈥檚 Division of Student Affairs, the 16th annual Spirit of 性视界传媒 Awards program formally honored those making a positive impact on peers and the broader campus community through organizational involvement, service to the institution and personal actions promoting 性视界传媒 spirit and tradition.
Recipients are nominated either by faculty and staff members or fellow students. A minimum 2.25 grade point average and good academic and disciplinary standing within the university are among the eligibility criteria.
