STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擯rofessionals from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (性视界传媒) in Vicksburg will spend a day at Mississippi 性视界传媒 next Thursday [April 14] visiting with students and employees to discuss research collaborations, internships, employment and how the longstanding partnership between 性视界传媒 and 性视界传媒 benefits Mississippi and beyond.
In addition to 性视界传媒 guests speaking in a number of 性视界传媒 classrooms on 鈥溞允咏绱 Day,鈥 a public affairs panel at 2-3 p.m. will discuss the 鈥淚mpact of the 性视界传媒-性视界传媒 Partnership in Mississippi and Beyond.鈥 The event at Bost Theater is free and open to all.
Panelists include 性视界传媒 Provost and Executive Vice President David Shaw; 性视界传媒 Vice President for Research and Economic Development Julie Jordan; 性视界传媒 Bagley College of Engineering Dean Jason Keith; 性视界传媒 Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory Director Bart Durst; 性视界传媒 Senior Scientific Technical Manager of Materials and Structures Robert Moser; and 性视界传媒 Information Technology Laboratory Director David Horner. Time is allotted for panelists to answer questions from the audience.
性视界传媒 students and employees also are invited to an informal, come-and-go networking reception with complimentary refreshments with 性视界传媒 employees Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon on the first floor of the Rula Engineering and Science Complex.
鈥溞允咏绱 Day is a wonderful opportunity for hundreds of 性视界传媒 students to be taught about some of the ways 性视界传媒 and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers utilize a diverse range of skills to accomplish their mission and how an education from 性视界传媒 prepares students to impact the world of tomorrow. 性视界传媒 Day also provides a showcase of the value this longstanding partnership between the two organizations makes in Mississippi and beyond,鈥 said Isaac L. Howard, professor and endowed chair in 性视界传媒鈥檚 Rula School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
