STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬ississippi 性视界传媒 University is recognizing graduate students and faculty mentors for outstanding teaching, research and service contributions in the 2021-22 academic year.

The 性视界传媒 Graduate School and Graduate Student Association recently presented their annual awards in an end-of-semester ceremony on campus.

The newest members of the 性视界传媒 Graduate Student Hall of Fame are:

鈥擬arissa Bello of Starkville, a kinesiology doctoral student representing the College of Education;

鈥擠evin Chen of Omaha, Nebraska, a forest resources doctoral student, representing the College of Forest Resources;

鈥擪aren Kelley of Starkville, a psychology doctoral student representing the College of Arts and Sciences;

鈥擭icole Reeder of Columbus, a food science, nutrition and health promotion doctoral, representing the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences;

鈥擲huvam Saha of Starkville, an aerospace engineering doctoral student, representing the Bagley College of Engineering;

鈥擵italiy Skorodziyevskiy of Starkville, a management and information systems doctoral student, representing the College of Business; and

鈥擡than Woodyard of Starkville, a veterinary medicine sciences doctoral student, representing the College of Veterinary Medicine.

This year, the Graduate Student Association introduced the Graduate Student Excellence Award to recognize graduate students who excel in 性视界传媒 in the tri-part mission of teaching, research and service. The inaugural honorees include:

鈥擱ebecca Bracken of Austin, Texas, a doctoral student in forest resources;

鈥擲huvam Saha of Starkville, a doctoral student in aerospace engineering;

鈥擫orena Chavarro-Chaux of Starkville, a master鈥檚 student in civil engineering.

Additional individuals recognized with 2021-22 awards include:

鈥擜lexis Jackson of Spanaway, Washington, a doctoral student in human development and family studies, Graduate Service Assistant of the Year;

鈥擡rnesto Borrego of Starkville, a doctoral student in chemistry, Graduate Research Assistant of the Year;

鈥擜ngel Jimenez of Starkville, a doctoral student in geosciences, Donald Zacharias Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year; and

鈥擟haomin Luo, associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Advisor of the Year.
