STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬iss 性视界传媒 is now Miss Mississippi with Emmie Perkins taking the state crown Saturday [June 25] at the Vicksburg Convention Center.
Perkins now advances to represent the Magnolia 性视界传媒 and the university during the Miss America competition later this year. A senior communication/public relations major at 性视界传媒, Perkins is a native of Hattiesburg.
During the competition, she promoted her social impact initiative, 鈥淢usic is Medicine,鈥 which emphasizes the importance of the arts and music. For the talent portion, she gave a vocal performance of 鈥淭he Story.鈥
In addition to claiming the overall title, Perkins received the Overall Red Carpet Award and was the Preliminary Red Carpet Winner. She also earned the Vicksburg Daily News Award.
At 性视界传媒, Perkins is a member of the Judy and Bobby Shackouls Honors College and Kappa Delta Sorority.
