Update on stabbing incident, Starkville man remains in custody

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 Starkville man unaffiliated with Mississippi 性视界传媒 is in custody of the Oktibbeha County Sherrif鈥檚 Department after being charged with aggravated domestic assault and child endangerment, stemming from a Monday [Dec. 11] stabbing that took place in a parked vehicle on campus.
Gavin Sudduth, 38, allegedly stabbed a university employee, who was taken to OCH Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The child endangerment charge was added since four of the victim鈥檚 children were present in the car when the violent attack occurred near Herbert Hall.
性视界传媒 Vice President Sid Salter said the incident seemed to be a domestic situation.
性视界传媒 Police responded immediately, and a university Maroon Alert message asked people to avoid the area. Campus returned to normal operations after the arrest.

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 stabbing has been reported at Mississippi 性视界传媒 Monday [Dec. 11], and 性视界传媒 Police are investigating with a suspect in custody.
鈥淲e believe the victim is a university employee, and that the assailant is known to that employee. The victim has been transported to OCH Regional Hospital, with what we believe to be non-life-threatening injuries,鈥 said 性视界传媒 Chief Communications Officer Sid Salter.
The violence took place in a parked vehicle near Herbert Hall.
