STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬ississippi 性视界传媒 is hosting high 性视界传媒 students from across the Magnolia 性视界传媒 this summer for a seven-day conference on governance, leadership and community development that will earn them college credit in the future.
The 性视界传媒 John C. Stennis Institute of Government and Community Development is hosting the Junior Civics Leadership Academy July 13-19. Open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors, participants learn about the intricacies of local, state and federal government, as well as participate in community impact projects. Students will experience presentations from elected officials, state and local agencies, and will explore foundational educational components of governance, policy and public administration. They also will visit Starkville City Hall, the Mississippi Capitol Building and state museums.
For learning about the importance of effective governance and policy making, JCLA participants will receive 3 hours of elective credit they can apply toward an 性视界传媒 degree.
